Coaching Staff
Our coaching staff includes six full time skill coaches, three of which are former professional baseball players. We also staff two certified strength and conditioning coaches.
Michael Reed
A fifth round draft pick out of Leander High School, Michael spent several seasons at the Major League level, playing for multiple organizations. He has been an excellent addition to our staff as a hitting coach.
Terrmel Sledge
Terrmel Sledge was a Major League outfielder/ 1st baseman four 4 years. Sledge coached in the Chicago Cubs organization in 2015, which he was the hitting coach for their Short Season A-ball club. In 2016-2018 he was the Dodgers Head Double A hitting coach for three seasons where he was fortunate enough to work with players such as Cody Bellinger, Kyle Farmer, Alex Verdugo, Willie Calhoun, Will Smith, Matt Beaty and more. In 2019 he became the Chicago Cubs MLB Assistant Hitting Coach for the next two years working side by side with some of the best hitters in the world. Terrmel also understands every player hits off of their personalities which makes all of us different. He will specifically tailor each individual lesson to the likings of what he believes you need to work on to get to the highest level possible. Whether it has to do with your mechanics, hand speed or finding out what the true mental aspect ALL Major Leaguers have over the rest of the baseball world. Sledge has been coaching & playing his entire life, coaching kids of all ages. He finds pleasure in watching players succeed and helping them reach their goals.

Terrmel Sledge was 4th in voting for MLB Rookie of the Year Awards in 2004 while playing for the Montreal Expos, 1st home run ever hit for the Washington Nationals in 2005, played 5 years overseas in Japan having the most memorable hit award in the past century, Former Minor League Player of the Year,Two batting titles, 5x Minor league All-Star, College All-American at Long Beach St.
Travis Eckert
Travis was a 5th round draft pick to Kansas City out of Oregon State University. He is one of the three leaders of the BHB pitching program.
Blake Thomas
Blake is a baseball lifer. Born and raised in Austin, Texas. Blake went to Westwood High School where he was a three year plan letterman in baseball and football. After High School, Blake went to D1 University of Texas-Pan American his freshman year. Upon transferring to Ranger junior college his sophomore season, Blake earned a scholarship to D1 Houston Baptist University. There, he was a two year captain. Blake’s baseball has provided many lessons; but a main lesson he has taken away is: baseball may be a kid’s game, but the lessons learned can be held for a lifetime.
Brooks Eady
Coach Eady was raised in a long-time Austin baseball family. Brooks attended Westwood High School then took his talents to McClennan Community College, Temple College, and finally The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB). Coach Eady brings intensity, knowledge, and passion to the baseball field.

Eric Hester
Eric Hester grew up in Georgetown, Texas attending Georgetown High School. Eric chose the Junior College route to enhance his talents at Temple College, then to St. Edwards University of the Heartland Conference. Coach Hester has a wealth of pitching knowledge and carries that over to his students.
Highlights:
2012: 6-3 record with a 2.16 ERA at Temple College
2014: 7-3 record with a region second best 1.97 ERA. 1st Team All Conference, Conference Pitcher of the Year, 1st Team All Region, 2nd Team All American
2015: 5-0 first year at St. Edwards University
2016: 10-3 record, leading the Toppers to an all time best record of 46-12. He earned 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team All Region, 2nd Team All American
2016: 2.36 ERA (7th in nation), 1.56 Conference ERA (1st in Conference), averaged under 1 walk per game, Division 2 National Pitcher of the Year Finalist
Fun Fact: Eric once threw a complete game and threw less balls than innings pitched. He had 6 balls thrown in 7 innings, with 41 strikes. He faced the minimum number of batters at 21, allowing 2 hits and 0 walks.
